Lightwork Leads Book a Visibility Review

Proof sheet · October 2026

I fixed my own sites first. Here are the before and after scores.

By Perry Kendrick · Published · Updated

Two sites I run, checked with the same free tools before and after the fixes, with the change behind each gain. It is the same set of checks I run on a home care agency's site.

Bar chart of Grandranker scores before and after fixes. pkpublishing.com home page mobile speed 29 to 97, AI Readiness 57 to 73, E-E-A-T 43 to 73, GEO 73 to 87. lightworkleads.com GEO score 68 to 90, AI Readiness 52 to 66.
Six of the largest gains on the home pages. Full tables below.

Why these scores matter to an agency

Families now ask an AI assistant the question they used to type into Google. Pew Research Center found in 2025 that 34% of U.S. adults had used ChatGPT, about double the share in 2023. An assistant can only name an agency whose site it can read, date, attribute and trust. These tools check exactly that, which is why I use them as a starting point.

I used four free checks from Grandranker: an SEO audit (27 checks), an AI search readiness audit (28 checks), a GEO score and an E-E-A-T analyzer (20 checks).

pkpublishing.com

A publishing site with a large library of home repair guides. The fixes were a speed repair, bylines with author markup, visible dates, a Sources section on each guide, an About page and FAQ markup on the home page.

Before = October 22, first audit. After = October 25. The home page SEO score read 91 on October 22 and reads 89 today, and I report today's number. The mobile speed row was measured with Google PageSpeed Insights on October 22.

The SEO score started at the top, so there was nothing to gain. It reads 98 now because I added external links and the tool checks those more strictly. The first E-E-A-T run lost its score digits when I recorded it, so only the rating is shown for "before".

What moved the scores

Cited sources

The first audit of lightworkleads.com found no outbound citations on the home page or the findings page. An assistant that wants to repeat a claim looks for a named publisher behind it. I added links to the original sources next to the statistics they support, including Pew Research Center and Google Search Central. On pkpublishing.com, the home repair guides now end with a Sources section built from pages I opened and read first, citing agencies such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the EPA and the CDC. On lightworkleads.com the GEO score on the home page rose from 68 to 90 over the same period.

Structured data and authorship

The tools look for markup that says who wrote a page, when, and what kind of page it is. On pkpublishing.com the 12 guides now carry a visible byline and author markup, and the home page has FAQ markup. Lightwork Leads pages carry Article and Person markup naming me. The AI Readiness audit flagged missing author information as the top item on this very page, which is why it now names me and links to my About page.

Dates

A page with no publish or updated date gives an assistant no way to tell whether the advice is current. The first audits listed missing date signals as a top issue on both sites. The guides, this page and the findings page now show a date a reader can see, and the same date is in the markup.

Worked example: a speed fix

On pkpublishing.com the home page scored 29 on mobile in Google PageSpeed Insights. Largest Contentful Paint, the time until the main content appears, was 14.0 seconds. The cause was an embedded donation widget that loaded its own tracking scripts before anything else. I changed the embed to load only when a visitor scrolls to it. After that, the same test scored 97, and the main content appeared in 1.0 second. For an agency, the equivalent is usually a chat, booking or reviews widget at the top of the home page.

How I ran the checks

I used the same four free tools on the same pages before and after each round of fixes, and I wrote down each number as the tool reported it. The SEO audit runs 27 checks on titles, descriptions, headings, links, markup and crawl rules. The AI search readiness audit runs 28 checks on how easily an assistant can pull a clear, dated, attributed answer from the page. The GEO score combines five areas: citability, crawler access, trust signals, technical setup and content depth. The E-E-A-T analyzer runs 20 checks on experience, expertise, authority and trust signals.

The first round ran on October 22 and the second on October 25. Between the two rounds I fixed the items each audit flagged. Each number comes from one run of the tool, so a small change of a point or two can be noise, which is why I describe the larger moves and not the smaller ones.

What I would do for your agency

  1. Audit your site, free. The same tools on the same pages, so you see your baseline next to the tables above.
  2. Fix the top items first. Usually missing structured data, no dates, no cited sources, a thin About page and unnamed authors.
  3. Re-run and send a before and after. A few days later, with the change behind each number.

Questions agency owners ask

Do higher scores mean more clients?

Not by themselves, and I do not promise that. A higher score means the page is easier for a search engine or an assistant to read, date and attribute. Whether a family then calls depends on your reviews, your reputation in your area and what the assistant decides to say. What the scores do show is that the obvious blockers are gone, and those blockers are the part I can measure before and after.

Why did the SEO score drop from 100 to 98?

The first audit of the home page scored 100. After I added external links to cited sources, the score moved to 98, most likely because the tool now checks those links. I would take the better-sourced page over a perfect number, so I left it. It is a reminder that a score is a summary of a checklist, and the checklist changes as the page does.

What does a review of my site cover?

I run the same four checks on your home page and your most important service page, then look at what an assistant says when a family in your city asks for in-home care. You get a single page back that lists what blocks you, in order of effort, and which of those I would fix first. There is no charge for the review and no obligation to talk to me after it.

Can I run these checks myself?

Yes. All four tools are free and take a web address. They are a reasonable first look, and the tables above show what to expect after a round of fixes. I would not read any single score as a verdict, because each tool measures something different and they sometimes miss things that are present on the page. If you would rather have someone read the results with you, that is what the review is for.

How to read these numbers

These are scores from one third-party grader, Grandranker's free tools. They measure how well a page is set up for search and AI answers. They are not rankings, traffic or enquiries, and I do not promise any of those. The results come from my own sites, not from client work.

Source for every score: Grandranker free tools (SEO Audit, AI Search Readiness, GEO Score Checker, E-E-A-T Analyzer) and Google PageSpeed Insights. Scores are as those tools reported them on October 22 and October 25, 2026.

Want to see your own baseline?

I'll run these checks on your agency's site, plus the part that matters most: the agencies an assistant names when a family in your city asks for in-home care, and what they say that you don't. One page, no charge, no obligation to talk to me afterwards.
